Benefits
Not features — the specific moments that stop going wrong.
Most challans for expired papers happen because nobody was counting. We count. Three warnings at 30, 15 and 3 days, with enough notice that renewing is a errand rather than an emergency.
Your documents open on your phone in the order they get asked for. No folder in the glovebox, no scrolling a camera roll, no hunting a WhatsApp thread from last year.
A tap on the tag says the vehicle is current. It does not show your Aadhaar, your address, your policy document or your face. Proving you are compliant and handing over your identity are two different things.
Instead of hunting a PUC centre on the day it expires, an authorised one near your pincode is put in front of you a fortnight earlier. You take it or you don't.
After an incident everything the insurer asks for is already uploaded, dated, verified and attached to the right vehicle. The claim does not begin with a search.
Transfer the record to the buyer rather than leaving your papers on a car you no longer own, or handing over a login.
Before and after
| Moment | Without VIVTAG | With VIVTAG |
|---|---|---|
| PUC expires | You find out at a checkpoint | Told 30, 15 and 3 days before, with a centre nearby |
| Asked for the RC | Glovebox, if it is in this car | Open on your phone in two taps |
| Insurance renewal | An email you may have missed | Both dates tracked, agent offered early |
| Proving compliance | Hand over your documents | Someone taps the tag and sees a status |
| Making a claim | Hunt for four documents at once | Already collected, dated and verified |
| Selling the car | Photocopies and hope | Ownership transfers with the record |
| Second vehicle | A second set of everything | Same account, same reminders |
Cost of getting it wrong
Under the Motor Vehicles Act, driving without valid insurance or a current PUC certificate carries a fine, and an insurer can decline a claim on a vehicle that was not compliant at the time. None of that is exotic — it is just a date nobody was watching.
A single reminder gets missed. Thirty days is time to plan, fifteen is time to book, three is time to panic usefully.
The date comes from the certificate itself, entered by a verifier. A verifier cannot accept a PUC without recording when it lapses.
Two cars and a scooter is six expiry dates. The overview shows how many are expiring and how many already have.
Add it in about five minutes and see the reminders for yourself.
