About

We built VIVTAG because paperwork fails at the worst moment.

A PUC that lapsed three weeks ago. An insurance copy in a drawer at home. A registration certificate photographed so many times nobody knows which photo is current. None of it is hard — it is just spread out, and spread-out things fail exactly when you need them.

One place

Every document for every vehicle you own, in one account, checked by a person before it counts as verified.

One warning

We watch the expiry dates so you don't have to remember them, and we tell you while there is still time to act.

One tap

The tag proves compliance without handing anyone your documents. That distinction is the whole point.

The problem

Four documents, four expiry dates, four places they live.

Insurance renews annually on one date. PUC runs six months from the test. Fitness is a different cycle again, and road tax another. Nobody tracks four independent countdowns for two or three vehicles in their head — so it gets tracked by the traffic police instead.

  • The RC lives in the glovebox, where it is stolen with the car
  • The insurance PDF is in an email from eleven months ago
  • The PUC slip is thermal paper that fades to blank by month four
  • The licence is in a wallet that is not always in the car

How we work

A person reads every document.

Not an algorithm guessing at a blurry photo, and not you ticking a box to say it is fine.

You upload

Photograph each document flat, in daylight. Large photos are shrunk in your browser before they leave the phone, so it works on ordinary mobile data.

A verifier reads it

Someone on our team opens the document beside the fields it fills, checks it is legible and current, and types the numbers and dates off it. They accept it or send it back with a specific reason.

If it comes back, you fix one thing

You replace only the document that was rejected. The rest of your submission stays exactly where it was. The rejected copy is kept, not deleted, so there is always a record of what changed and why.

Then we watch it

Expiry dates come off the documents themselves, not from you typing them. A verifier cannot accept an insurance policy or PUC without recording when it lapses.

Privacy

What a scan does not show.

Uploaded files are stored outside the public web root and streamed only to you and to the verifier assigned to your record. They are never listed in a public folder and never linked from a page anyone else can load. Each file is stored by the hash of its contents, so the same document uploaded twice occupies one blob and no filename can be guessed.

A tap on your tag shows the registration number, whether the vehicle is verified, and when insurance and PUC expire. It does not show the documents, your name, your address or your identity papers. Someone checking your vehicle learns that it is compliant — and nothing about you.

Renewals

When a document is close to expiry we can put a renewal in front of you — a PUC test or an insurance quote, offered by our team inside the thread for that vehicle. Nothing is shared with anyone unless you take the offer, and declining costs you nothing.
